Barbara Jackson Webb was born and raised in Scottsville Texas where she obtained her early education through high school in Marshall Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Waskom Texas.
Barbara completed her undergraduate degree at Wiley College in Marshall Texas, where she majored in Business Management and minored in Business Administration. Barbara was employed with the Social Security Administration for several years in Marshall Texas and she was also employed part time as Supervisor for the GED Program also held in Marshall Texas in the HB Pemberton building. Shortly after college Barbara moved to Dallas Texas, were she secure a job as Administrative Assistant at a large advertising company “American Advertising for many years until she landed the job of her Dreams as a Senior Mortgage Underwriter, where she was able to continue to do what she loves best, which is helping to make people dreams come True.
Barbara is happily married to her hometown sweetheart, best friend, and soul mate Randy Carl Webb of 33 years. She and her husband are proud parents of two beautiful daughters Ashley (41), Jade (13) and their beautiful granddaughter KensleyJournee age 3. Barbara is the 6 of 15 siblings born to the parentage of the late Elbert & Dorothy Jackson.
She has a victorious testimony that prayer changes things. She is a loving, kind, caring and a God-fearing woman. Barbara is very nurturing, has a heart to serve, and is gifted in administration and leadership. She loves working not just in the church but outside of the church as well. Barbara has a strong passion for marriages and working with the youth and the elderly. Her greatest joy is spending quality time with the Lord, her family and giving back. Barbara also loves cooking and feeding others and she loves the time she spends with her siblings, especially the time she spends with her sisters, always a so much laughter and good eating when we are together.
When her husband followed the Lord’s guidance and took the position as Youth Minster at their formal church New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Barbara made the transitions with him and continued to support him in every aspect of his ministry. She served on the administration and the children’s ministry alongside of her husband and served as officer on Minister Wives Ministry as well as working faithfully in the women’s ministry.
Barbara is an inspiration to all who meet her, she provides comfort to hurting women who have had or is having to battle cancer and for those women that need marriage counseling and gives direction to all those who are seeking a relationship with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She is now a cancer survivor (March 2023) and a huge supporter of both the cancer and Lung Society. She is a mentor, a motivator, a confident, a true friend and again if I have not said earlier, she’s a Lover of the Lord!
Barbara graciously embraces Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
